Café Paolo
The BEST BREAKFAST I've Ever REVIEWED!
I’m back at Café Paolo in Acton, known for serving one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. I should know, I’ve already had it. After being a tad disappointed with my review when I first started the channel, I decided to happily head back to one of my favourite cafés. The food here never disappoints, and this visit was no exception.
I decided to order two breakfasts to get a real taste of what they offer. First, I went for the smashed avocado with poached eggs, priced at £9.45. The presentation was perfect, with eggs that were beautifully runny and piled high with avocado seasoned with chilli flakes. The eggs had just the right wobble, and the avocado was seasoned to perfection, adding a touch of spice. The dish was fresh, a creamy explosion which emanated from the avocado, and the sourdough toast underneath gave it a great balance of textures.
Next up was the star of the show, the Full English Breakfast, which came in at just £16.50. This breakfast included two perfectly cooked eggs, both black and white pudding, vine tomatoes, bacon, beans, bubble and squeak, and the most incredible home-made sausages all served in a massive frying pan, soaking in all of the juices and keeping everything piping hot. These sausages were packed with flavour and herbs. The addition of pork belly elevated the entire meal, offering a crispy yet tender bite. Even the beans, which can sometimes be an afterthought, were full of nice and juicy!
While the setting isn’t glamorous, with views of a Shell garage, the food more than makes up for it. The café itself is cosy, and I was impressed to see unlimited tea on offer for £3.40. The quality of ingredients really shines through, making every bite a treat.
Café Paolo delivers on all fronts, offering a wide variety of breakfast options with high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re after a healthier choice like avocado toast or a hearty full English, it’s hard to go wrong here. It might not be the cheapest breakfast, but the portions, flavour, and care put into each dish make it worth every penny. If you’re in Acton, this is a must-visit spot for breakfast lovers.
I haven’t given this rating for a while – it’s an easy 10 star. Perfection. In my opinion – the UK’s best breakfast.
WOW! Top marks 10/10!
