Jacuzzi
Reviewing a LUXURIOUS ITALIAN RESTAURANT!
I recently visited Jacuzzi, a high-end Italian restaurant located in Kensington, London. The first thing that caught my attention was the incredible ambience. The restaurant spans three levels, each boasting elegant decor and a welcoming atmosphere. It felt luxurious yet approachable and certainly not pretentious, setting the tone for a sophisticated dining experience.
The meal began with the Camembert starter, priced at £17. A French dish in an Italian restaurant? Sacrilege! This dish included melted Camembert paired with toasted walnuts, honey, and grated black truffle. While I was hesitant about the truffle at first, the rich and creamy texture of the cheese, combined with the sweetness of the honey and crunch from the walnuts, created a delightful balance. The home-made focaccia was warm and complemented the starter perfectly.
For the main course, I opted for the Linguine Granchio e Limone, a £24 dish featuring home-made linguine tossed with fresh, hand-picked crab, thyme, chilli, and a lemon-butter sauce. The flavours were delicate, and the sauce provided just the right amount of zest without overwhelming the dish. The portion was quite generous, and I could see it being shared between two people.
To round off the meal, I chose the chocolate and coffee mousse for dessert. The portion size was unexpectedly large, but the mousse was light, airy, and rich in flavour. The subtle hint of coffee added a nice contrast to the sweetness of the chocolate. They wanted to give me more but I was ready to burst! I finished off my meal… yep, you guessed it. A nice Limoncello!
The total cost of my meal, including a 13.5% service charge, came to £61.89. While not the most affordable option, Jacuzzi’s combination of luxurious ambiance, attentive service, and expertly crafted dishes made it worth the splurge. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list, with prices ranging from £31 to an eye-watering £525.
Overall, Jacuzzi delivered a high-end Italian dining experience that focused on quality ingredients and expert preparation. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a special meal with a loved one!
I LOVED it! 8/10
