Rate My Takeaway Kitchen
Reviewing the RATE MY TAKEAWAY KITCHEN!
In this video, I dive into Rate My Takeaway Kitchen in Huddersfield, a lively food hall that brings together an array of independent food vendors. It’s a great spot for anyone who loves variety and supporting local businesses.
My food journey starts with Bobby’s Salt and Pepper, where I grab a combo box filled with chicken wings, salt and pepper chips, spring rolls, and sesame prawn toast. The chicken wings were crispy and packed with flavour, and the seasoning on the chips was spot on—just the right amount of salt and pepper. The prawn toast was an absolute delight, loaded with rich flavours.
Next up, I tried the crispy chicken with fried rice. The chicken was tender, juicy, and coated in a nice crispy texture. The fried rice had a good seasoning, and the sauce that came with it was the real star—sweet, tangy, and just a hint of spice to keep things interesting.
I couldn’t leave without giving the Mexican menu a go at Birria Boyz, so I ordered honey chicken tacos and a beef burrito. The tacos were a bit messy, but they were so tasty, with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavours. The burritos, though a bit too messy for a neat eater like me (that’s not their fault), were still full of flavour and a great choice.
Rate My Takeaway Kitchen really impressed me. The variety of food options here means there’s something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for something crispy and savoury or a bit of Mexican flair. The friendly atmosphere added to the experience, making it feel like a great spot to hang out and enjoy some quality food. The only downside? The presentation of the Mexican dishes could use a bit of improvement, but when the taste is this good, I’m not complaining.
If you’re ever in Huddersfield, I highly recommend checking out Rate My Takeaway Kitchen. I absolutely loved meeting Danny and his team, they were an absolute pleasure and it was great to talk to all of them.
I LOVED it! 8/10
